Genus: Grallaricula (2 species, 10 worldwide)

Genus Grallaricula are a genus of small antpittas, short-tailed insect-eating birds, that may come to the ground like Grallaria antpittas, but often stay above the ground.

The male has an ochre breast. Many species in this genus move their chest continually left to right as if they were dancing.

The Peru and Bolivian races of the Rusty-breasted Antpitta were split off in IOC 9.1 (2019). There is also an recently discovered isolated population near Quito, Ecuador.
