Lettered Aracari (Pteroglossus inscriptus inscriptus) Bolivia The inscriptus subspecies has a light-colored lower mandible, and is found in the eastern Amazon and north Bolivia.

Lettered Aracari (Pteroglossus inscriptus humboldti) Male Villavicencio, Colombia

This species has two forms, sometimes considered different species. Humboldt's Aracari, found in the Andean foothills from Colombia to Bolivia as well as the western Amazon basin, has an all black lower mandible.

Split from the Ivory-billed Aracari and found south of the Amazon river. Note brown lower mandible.
