Found in the Peruvian desert where there is vegetation. Larger than the Purple-collared Woodstar and Peruvian Sheartail, and with a distinctive long sturdy slightly decurved bill. Male is white in front with a violet gorget bordered with light blue (opposite coloration of the Purple-collared Woodstar). | ||||||||||||
