Rare. From a four way split of the Blue Seedeater. The male is very similar to the male Blue-black Grassquit, but has a slightly thicker bill. Best bet look for a female, which is unstreaked brown, darker on back.

Formerly called the Cabanis's Seedeater, From a four way split of the Blue Seedeater. The male is very similar to the male Blue-black Grassquit, but has a slightly thicker bill. Best bet look for a female, which is unstreaked brown, darker on back.
