Small and uncommon in mixed canopy flocks, and generally difficult to see well.

Seen in mangrove habitats. Could be confused with a Blue-grey Tanager. The 'minus' race is in a different habitat type along the Amazon river.

Found in high altitude polylepis forest. Male and female alike.

White-browed Conebill (Conirostrum ferrugineiventre) Range: SA: Peru and Bolivia Challabamba, Cuzco, Peru Found in high altitude polylepis forests.

Found in Andean forests at over 2500m.

Rare, but found in a variety of habitats, so it is not clear what is limiting its range. Female is grey on top, buff on bottom with buff ear.

Found in the canopy of varzea forest along large rivers in the Amazon, usually in cecropia. Compare to similar Bicolored Conebill with similar habitat. Note one color breast and lighter color of back than Bicolored Conebill, and faster song. Immature is yellow-breasted.

Found around Bogotá from 2500-3500 meters in cloud forest, gardens, and sub-paramo brush.
