Very similar to the common migratory Common Yellowthroat, but most closely related to the South American Masked Yellowthroat. Note grey only above mask on male compared to white around the top and back of mask on Common Yellowthroat. Female has more complete eye-ring than Common, and is yellower. |
On male note black mask, bright yellow coloration, and no grey border to mask. |
