Genus: Hylophilus (8 species)

Genus Hylophilus, Greenlets, are in the Vireo family, but are generally a bit smaller and greener. Greenlets are usually high in the canopy and often with mixed flocks.

Found in dry and semi-humid forest in eastern Brazil (Athanas).

Note white eye, and loud repeated notes in song. Vocal and often common in hot dry lowlands.


Olivaceous Greenlet (Hylophilus olivaceus) Range: SA: Ecuador and Peru Wildsumaco Lodge, Sumaco, Ecuador Note uniformly yellow-olive colored.
