A widespread non-migratory warbler. Note thick white brow in South American races. May be split soon (Yellow-crowned in Colombia,Venezuela and Stripe-crowned in Panama/Costa Rica in the HBW taxonomy).

Split from the Three-striped Warbler, a bit less yellow but otherwise similar, and found in the 'yungas' cloud forests in southeast Peru and Bolivia.

Common and widespread. Moves in small groups at all levels of forest, sometimes with mixed flocks.
