Often common. Note dark malar stripe. Often with ant swarms and in Amazon compare to White-chinned Woodcreeper. Subspecies vary in shades of brown, streaking on underparts, and bill color.
Amazon foothills, note light biil and unstreaked chest.

Note blue eyes. Similar to Plain-brown Woodcreeper, but face more uniform. Secretive inside 'tierra firma' forest, and virtually always with ant swarms.
