Compare with Ochre-bellied Flycatcher, but note McConnell's has plain wings (no wing bars).
Immature from front with food stuck to feathers.

Similar to, and formerly considered conspecific with McConnell's Flycatcher. Once called Tepui Flycatcher. Among many subtle differences, it is found more in mountains, less in lowlands and is slightly smaller. (HBW)
