Genus Tinamus are large forest-based tinamous. Tinamus tinamous, unlike others, sleep on a low branch (ProAves).

A large tinamou found in healthy forests up to 1500m. Note dark spots on light colored body. Sounds like Little Tinamou but with less flutter in song.
With five kids.
At night on a branch.
