Similar to [Tawny-breasted Myiobius], but only found at low altitudes. Small size and tawny color only on chest differentiate from other myiobius.

Visually very similar to [Sulphur-rumped Myiobius] but rare and only found at higher altitudes (1000-2000m). Ranges don't overlap. Colors less bright (ProAves) and yellow is only on center of belly (tawny flanks) (HBW).
