Similar to [Social Flycatcher], and also exhibits social behaviour. Has black vs. blackish-grey mask. Note vocal differences. The rusty margins of the wing and tail feathers are harder to see.

Somewhat similar to, and about the same size as a [Great Kiskadee].
From front with crest raised.

Compare to [Sulphury Flycatcher].
Streaking on chest can be light. Note lack of white on chest, and brown vs. grey head.
