One of Darwin's finches, and found only on Isabela and possibly Fernandina Island in mangrove habitat. Similar to Woodpecker Finch except habitat, and perhaps less black bill.

One of Darwin's finches, widespread on the Galapagos Islands, is known for using small sticks as a tool to extract insects from trees.

One of Darwin's finches. Note orange bill on female, and black head on male. Male's bill is black during breeding season, and otherwise orange. Males on San Cristóbal (salvini) are yellower and do not have black head (HBW).
