Most similar to Yellow-throated Flycatcher, but with white throat. Quite similar to the Rusty-margined Flycatcher or Social Flycatcher. Called the White-ringed Flycatcher because the white band wraps around the back of the neck. Note lack of yellow crown seen on similar species, and lack of rufous in wings. | ||||||
Generally seen in the canopy in small groups, and often near abandoned oropendola nests, where they make their nests. | ||||||
Similar looking to Lesser Kiskadee; note yellow throat and possibly thicker longer brow. More closely related to White-ringed Flycatcher in the western part of South America and Central America. | ||||||
