A medium to large slender woodcreeper which is almost totally barred horizontally. Some races in Brazil have less pronounced barring (difficult to see from distance). Compare to Black-banded Woodcreeper. |
Similar to the Amazonian Barred Woodcreeper and Northern Barred Woodcreeper, but with vertical streaking on the throat. Can reach 2000m in the Andes, but is generally thought of as a lowland species. An Andean bird from back. |
