Small brown flycatcher with prominent buff wing bars. Note flatbill-like bill with white underneath. Similar looking to Bran-colored Flycatcher, but found inside the forest.

A Tumbes endemic. Sexes similar. Look for small size, white around eyes and different color upper and lower bill. Wings/back grey to brown, belly grey to yellow and grey chest sometimes faded.
