Most similar to the Black-faced Antbird, but only found along the large Amazon rivers, and note plain wings with just some white spots. Song is similar to White-browed Antbird.

Widespread and sometimes common. Note well defined black and white wing bars compared to Ash-breasted Antbird, when in its range.
