Found below 1500m. Small and timid; uniformly streaked yellow and olive from neck to belly. Found at lower altitudes than the similar Streak-necked Flycatcher. Note white mark behind eye. |
Compare with Ochre-bellied Flycatcher, but note McConnell's has plain wings (no wing bars). Immature from front with food stuck to feathers. |

Similar to, and formerly considered conspecific with McConnell's Flycatcher. Once called Tepui Flycatcher. Among many subtle differences, it is found more in mountains, less in lowlands and is slightly smaller. (HBW) |
